Requirements for Experienced Jumpers

Ready to jump into action? Before you gear up, here are a few things you need to know to ensure a smooth experience at Campbell River Skydive:

  • Must hold a valid skydiving license recognized by the Canadian Sport Parachuting Association (CSPA) or an equivalent international body (USPA, BPA, APF, etc.).

  • Reserve repack and gear checks must be up to date. We may ask for proof of repack date and reserve card upon check-in.

  • AADs are strongly encouraged and may be required for some loads.

  • All gear must meet dropzone safety standards. If you’re unsure, our instructors or riggers will be happy to check your setup.

  • If it’s been more than 6 months since your last jump, you may need to do a refresher or consult with one of our instructors before manifesting.

  • Minimum age is 16. Jumpers under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign in person with valid ID.

  • Max exit weight is 220 lbs (100 kg) in gear. We also factor in BMI for safety.

  • Please do not consume alcohol or substances prior to jumping.

  • If you have a disability or medical condition, reach out to us in advance — we’re happy to discuss accommodations and safety planning where possible.

We love having experienced jumpers join us at the DZ — whether you’re fun jumping for the day, training, or working toward a new rating, our community is open, welcoming, and ready to fly with you.

If you’re unsure about anything, just ask. We’ve got your back.
